Refinery29: Tennesse Thomas Models Wares From the New Forever21 Line, Boutique

When we want a quick pick-me-up, we usually head to Forever21, but who would have expected this kind of thrill from the brand? Tennesse Thomas, the drummer, vocalist, and pretty lady of band, The Like, models some delicate, vintage-inspired pieces from Forever21's new line, Boutique. Launching tomorrow, the new line is set to provide delicate and unique wares from the fast fashion brand that includes dresses, sweaters, bottoms, and outerwear inspired by old Hollywood costume archives as well as finds you might spot along Portobello Road. We're craving that ruffled, mint-green top (or dress, if you're as brave as Tennessee) and can't wait to get our hands on the heart-printed tights as well. Who's up for a quickie trip this weekend?

Refinery29: Mom Jeans and Mud "Shirts": The Row's Spring 2010 Collection Dresses Suburban Wood Nymphs

Forgive us for the end-of-the-week snark, but when it's nearing quittin' time, and we're presented with a lookbook of the likes of The Row's spring 2010 collection, we can't help but poke a little fun. Granted, the clothes themselves aren't bad: There are lots of simply tailored staples that we've come to love and expect from the Olsens, like form-fitting skirts and loose jersey tops. But, oy. The styling. While socks and contoured shirts are more than trendy right now, mud versions of them look like an unfortunate foray into fake-tanner art. And the dried floral forehead decorations and unkempt hair to rival Robert Pattinson's reminds of the time we went camping and woke up to find that our tent had blown away. As for the Mom Jeans? We have no words. (<a href="http://www.suprememanagement.com/being/?p=7792"target="_blank">Supreme Management)

Refinery29: Alexander Wang's Spring 2010 Accessories Touch Down

Catching a flash of a leopard boot and football-shaped baguette last season was enough to have us sitting on the edges of our proverbial seats in anticipation for high-res images of <a href="http://www.refinery29.com/fashion_week/alex_wang_makes_the_clothes_yo.php"target="_blank"><a href="http://www.refinery29.com/my_style/my_style_alexander_wang.php"target="_blank">Alexander Wang's spring 2010 collection. After all, the mop-topped charmer's accessories are on a winning streak, with every one of his studded, embossed, and cracked <a href="http://www.refinery29.com/the_goods/wang_wows_again_with_a_fresh_c.php"target="_blank">leather goodies selling out faster than you can say "How much for these?". But that was last season during the heyday of the tough-as-nails trend, and as the spikes-'n'-chains thing fizzes out, we were worried that Alex might not be able to play catch-up quickly enough. But, from these product shots, we really had nothing to be concerned about, with playful heels with an athletic kick, a graphic update on the Coco bag, and that leather clutch that you might want to think twice about hiking down the end zone.

We understand why Wayfarers have been the go-to shades for the past few seasons—the shape is classic and it suits so many faces. But we are more than ready to see things a little differently. Cat eye frames are the newest (oldest!) shape du jour, and designers are definitely having some fun playing around with this classic '50s staple. For their spring 2010 shows, Alexander Wang, Giles Deacon, and Miuccia Prada revealed oversized versions of the frames in statement-making colors like gold, hot pink, and orange. Model and It-girl <a href="http://www.refinery29.com/under_the_influence/dree_is_dripping_with_diamonds.php"target=_blank>Dree Hemingway wasted no time sporting the Deacon specs right off the runway. Christian Dior and Proenza Schouler are now offering pared-down sleeker versions, and we're happy to see Mary-Kate Olsen in something that doesn't entirely overwhelm her pretty face. But if you like that bug-eyed Rachel Zoe look, Betsey Johnson and Balenciaga have some vintage-inspired options. Yes, looking like a Pink Lady just got a bit easier.
