Miley Cyrus Comes In Like A Disco Ball

UPDATE: As if we weren't already planning on buying the latest issue of ELLE the second it hits newsstands on April 15, we've just got word that our favorite 17-year-old writer, Tavi Gevinson, conducted the interview with the sparkling cover star. In addition to discussing everything from sex to depression to breakups, Tavi also gets Cyrus talking about feminism. "I still don’t think we’re there 100 percent," Cyrus tells Tavi. "I mean, guy rappers grab their crotch all f*cking day...but no one talks about it. But, if I grab my crotch and I have hot model b*tches around me, I’m degrading women? I’m a woman — I should be able to have girls around me! But, I’m part of the evolution of that. I hope." As well as these deep thoughts, the mag shared a few of its interior photos. She may have come in like a wrecking ball before, but Miley Cyrus appears to now be channeling a disco ball. The pop star graces the cover of ELLE's music issue in a bedazzled, metallic Marc Jacobs jumpsuit. The look is a little bit '70s Mick Jagger, somewhat reminiscent of Nancy Kerrigan, and definitely way more covered up than most of her Bangerz tour ensembles left her.
Beating out headline acts — including Ariana Grande and Lily Allen who are both featured in the issue — for the cover spot, the 21-year-old once again proves that whether you like her or not is almost irrelevant. And, as for her big "plan" that's promised on the cover — well, you'll have to read the issue to find out. (Daily Mail)
