There's something really GOOP-y about the fact that Gwyneth Paltrow wore basically the exact same outfit just a few days apart. Last week, she was spotted in New York City wearing a striped Saint Laurent sweater, skinny pants, and a gray Chanel purse. Then, this weekend, she was photographed returning to LAX in the aforementioned look all over again.

Here's a short lesson in outfit repetition, courtesy of the lifestyle expert herself. If you're going to wear a statement piece — like navy Breton knitwear, for instance — twice in the space of two days, switch everything else up and no one will notice. (Well, except for us.) 

She swapped cropped jeans for leather leggings and ankle boots for Converse high-tops, giving the nautical-inspired sweater an entirely different vibe. Preppy stripes take on an unexpectedly punky vibe with skintight lambskin and tall Chucks. Gwyneth not only combines contrasting style influences, but also expertly mixes navy with black.
