We all know the red carpet fashion at the MTV Video Music Awards tends to be more about shock value than major style moments. And, that's exactly what makes it so much fun for everyone involved. Most stars understand the VMAs lack the sartorial significance of events like the Oscars or the Met Ball, and as a result, they usually bring the crazy in spades. Is it always pleasant to witness? Definitely not. But, at least it's never boring.
