Woman Survives Car Accident Because Of This $66.48 Bandage Dress

People tend to get a little hyperbolic when it comes to fashion (how often do the words "gives me life" make it into your daily conversations about clothing sales?). In this instance, however, a dress actually prevented a woman from being fatally injured. According to The Telegraph, 21-year-old Zoe Turner credits her $66.48 form-fitting red dress from Missguided (shown on the left) with saving her life. Turner wore the dress to her mother's holiday party; on the way home, her cab crashed into a cement truck. Says Turner, "The doctors told me that if I hadn't worn such a tight dress, which held in place my bones as the car impacted, I would have most definitely punctured vital organs."
The Telegraph reports that Turner broke her sternum and fractured her pelvis. The other passengers and driver suffered broken bones, but no fatal injuries. Read the full report to see Zoe in the dress before the accident. And, let's all hope our own fashion choices will never be life-or-death decisions. (The Telegraph)
