The Outkast rapper is starring as the legendary guitarist, alongside with Imogen Poots, who plays Linda Keith, the young woman famous for giving Hendrix his first guitar (which belonged to her boyfriend Keith Richards). John Ridley, Oscar-winning scribe of 12 Years A Slave, takes the helm as director.
We got a peek at a clip last month, but now we have a new look at a photo of the rapper in character. We've gotta say: André could pass as Hendrix's doppelgänger, right? That hair, the '60s outfit, and the deeply unbuttoned shirt perfectly channel the iconic guitarist. Watch this space for more updates on the film. In the meantime, who has high hopes for the movie?
