Lately in R29 land, it's been Johnny Depp this, Johnny Depp that, and not enough Vanessa Paradis if you ask us. Yes, the dashing pair went their separate ways months ago, but we're no-so-secretly crossing our fingers for a rekindled romance if only for the mere fact that the two made for one super-stylish duo.
And, we already knew French women do everything better than the rest of 'em, but Paradis' latest spread for
V
mag just proved every nay-sayer wrong. Clad in curve-hugging gowns, the statuesque 39-year-old could give Depp's new GF Amber Heard (who is 13 years Paradis' junior), a serious run for her money. Karl Lagerfeld's muse opened up in the glossy's Girl Power Issue about everything from her future projects to working with a child with Down syndrome ("It’s totally pure. It’s not damaged with a way of thinking"), and what kind of woman she hopes to become.

Honestly, if that doesn't win back Depp, that man needs to have his eyes checked! But, perhaps the Pirates actor left because he shared a similar opinion to that of Paradis' Café de Flore director — she was just too pretty. If you can believe it, she told V that she was almost denied the role for being too gorg — but he eventual cast her, as a character Paradis describes as a "tough mother with no makeup, no artifice, no seduction."
Maybe her ex will come around, too?
