Watch A Mini Documentary Of A Hipster Restaurant’s Genesis

If Vinegar Hill House had opened this year, it would have definitely made our top 10 list of the best NYC restaurant openings of 2010. No matter, we're just psyched the eatery has been around since '08 for us to gain some extra lbs—it's that good (that Cast Iron Chicken must be as addictive as crack). Located in the definitely un-gentrified 'hood of Vinegar Hill, the resto is a partnership between chef Jean Adamson and her husband Sam Buffa who met when both were working at Freeman's. Since then, they've become darlings for publications like BlackBook and Vice, the latter of which debuted a
mini-documentary
of the genesis of VHH, following the whole crew cruising around town, downing tequila shots and cooking after-hours pizza (that's what chefs do when they're drunk). We suggest peeping the vid below—it's funny, informative, and bound to make you salivate.
