We know, we know! Trade shows aren't necessarily for the common folk. However, as time-pressed editors who have to constantly scour showrooms for great new lines, we delight in Project, a one-stop tradeshow that attracts an impressive lineup of progressive fashion brands. Having gotten a bit big over the last few seasons, the Project team decided to return to their roots, moving the show from the sprawling Javitz Center to the more intimate Lexington Avenue Armory (68 Lexington, between 25 & 26th streets). The show opened today with buyers and editors all descending for a fresh glimpse of many of our favorite brands, including, Cutler and Gross, Current/Elliott, Keds, Tom's, and many others. If you're so inclined, the truly fashion obsessed can plunk down $500 for a spin through Project. If one tradeshow out there is worth the price of admission—this one is it.
