Now You Can Be A Real-Life Ariel

Admit it: At some point during your childhood, you wished you could be a real-life Disney princess. Well, if Ariel was at the top of your list back then, your dreams might be becoming a (semi) reality thanks to the L.A. Mermaid School.

As LAist reports, the school offers classes targeted to actors seeking mermaid (or merman!) roles in movies or TV. According to the class description, you'll have "the opportunity to learn what it takes to be a real Hollywood mermaid and master some of the basic techniques that our professional mermaids use in TV commercials." (Also noteworthy: The description is littered with such puns as "fun-filled fin-tasy" and "mermaid school finstructors.") It's taught by actors who have portrayed mermaids on screen, so you know they know what they're doing. For $40, you'll get an hour-and-15-minute lesson — and be equipped with a mono-fin to practice in.

So, what are you waiting for? Go forth and fulfill your lifelong The Little Mermaid fantasies. Just be sure to Instagram along the way.
