Former First Lady of California Is Now A Magazine Editor

Maria Shriver is taking over the reins at Oprah's O Magazine, albeit temporarily, for the magazine's April issue, which will herald National Poetry Month. The guest stint, the first ever for the magazine, will have Maria going over reader submissions of their favorite poems or original works, which will then be published alongside pieces from famous poets and selections from celebs. Maria is a big fan of the metric form, crediting it for helping her get through cousin John F. Kennedy, Jr.'s death. Though Maria is perfectly qualified for the post (she is, after all, a Peabody and Emmy Award-winning T.V. journalist), we sense a lot of mutual love being shared. Oprah was the recipient of Maria's Minerva Awards just last year. (HuffingtonPost)
