Wild Jeans For The Uptown Cowgirl

What were your first pair of jeans?
"My first major pair were rust-colored GUESS jeans with the little white triangle on the butt. My grandma spoiled me with them, I must have been eight years old."

What are you wearing?
"A remodeled Levi's jacket and vintage BX Compagnie jeans. I wear some pretty wacky gear, so I felt these pieces would better represent me than just a regular old pair of jeans."

How many pairs of jeans do you own? "About 15."
Do you have a preferred philosophy when it comes to jeans: Sexy and skinny, or loose and comfy?
"I tend to stay loose and comfy with my tops and skinny/tight on the bottom."

What's your signature wash...or does it matter?
"I love waxed black denim. It wears in so well, like a leather jacket."

If your jeans had a name or theme song, what would it be? Or do they? "'Miss You' by the Rolling Stones. I always get that song stuck in my head when I'm walking down the street. It's the perfect walking tempo."

Favorite example of celebrity-jean wearing (i.e., Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA album cover).
"Salt-n-Pepa circa '92 or '93. I was in second grade, and all the cool sixth-grader girls had shredded or acid-washed jeans and listened to 'Shoop.'"
