Holy Statement Jewelry: Fenton Throws The Most Deco, Glam Wedding Ever!

We've always wanted to get married at the Four Seasons restaurant. That's just so glam. And for spring '12, Dana Lorenz, the designer behind Fenton, did exactly that, with a breathtaking presentation featuring models dressed in white, standing stock-still at the end of an aisle of gladioli. Set against ethereal music, we couldn't but help say "I do," to the massive art deco-inspired statement necklaces, earrings, and cuffs that channel Ocean Drive, Miami, circa 1930. Lorenz manages to turn up the heat, all while staying true to her signature pairings of unexpected elements, which include rope, chains, pearls, and spikes (don't be scared—it's really very weirdly romantic). Fenton's inspiration also mined the sensual and abstract paintings of Cecily Brown, selecting a color palette that resembles much of the artist's work—think shades of aqua blue, bright yellow, coral, and beige. The overall effect is elegantly jarring; Muted colors contrasts with the sharper edges of geometric shapes and hardware. Hey Gaga, meet Grace Kelly. Dana, where's our engagement ring?
