4 Halloween Parties To Hit Up This Weekend In L.A.

Halloween weekend is like the kick-off to the season of non-stop partying, and our favorite part of all of this is getting to dress up! But, before we don feathers and sequins to the next fabulous fete, let's not act like we're too old to wear a costume. It's not like every night that we gals can get away with wearing just about anything. Whether you're channeling one of the many looks of Gaga, corrupting your favorite Disney princess, or role-playing your dream occupation, here's a list of monster mashes you should crash.

KCRW'S Halloween Masquerade

Last year's bash may have been unprecedented, but KCRW is about to out-do themselves by throwing another costume party at the Park Plaza. There will, of course, be all the KCRW house DJ's and totally decked-out Halloween-themed rooms, but what we are looking forward to the most are the performances by The Duke Spirit (they're hauntingly good) and Cut Chemist. And if you want to mellow out, walk down to the basement-turned-underground 1930's jazz club for some sweet crooning.

Fangtasia: A True Blood Weekend

True Blood fans, gather over to Rush Street in Culver City for an all-night blood fest. The entire restaurant will be transformed into all things Fangtasia—beer pong tables with a True Blood twist and 2-for-1 drinks; but sorry, the only Sookie and Bill who will be there are the Fangbagers who will come dressed as them.

Teach Me How to Chucky @ the Standard Downtown LA

If you're looking for a chill place to dress up, listen to good music, (avoid the L.A. traffic) and dance the night away, walk up to the rooftop at the Standard in downtown L.A. A revolving door of DJs, sweeping views of the city, and dropdead gorgeous people will make for one freaky night.

WeHo Carnival Parade

The West Hollywood Carnival is as much of a holiday tradition as the Tournament of Roses, with just as many queens in sequins and wigs riding the floats. Santa Monica Boulevard will be shut down as usual for the biggest march of the most innovative, creative, and always fabulous Halloween costumes ever. Go bar hopping and get some treats.
