Julia Roberts Is Ditching Her $4.5 Million NYC Apartment For L.A.

First Beyoncé and Jay Z. Now Julia Roberts. Is New York City really not so cool anymore?
For celebrities, at least, it seems that the concrete jungle is having a seriously difficult time competing with the more laid-back serenity of Southern California. After five years in her Greenwich Village penthouse, the Pretty Woman actress has decided to spend more time on the West Coast.
The three-bedroom, three-bathroom co-op she is putting on the market, however, certainly has that soft, calming Los Angeles charm; its 2,000 square feet are light-soaked, with oversized windows, an open floor plan, and an expansive terrace that holds the best views $4.5 million can buy. Add sleek, neutral decor and state-of-the-art appliances, and it's hard to believe that Roberts would actually want to give this place up (though, admittedly, her sprawling Malibu mansion isn't the worst home to shack up in full-time). While we're sad to see yet another celebrity heading for the left coast, the idea of curling up in this West 10th Street apartment and watching Notting Hill on repeat sounds pretty good (putting its cost aside, of course).
Find yourself dreaming of living like Roberts? Take a peek inside the abode described as "magical" and be reminded why New York City is, in our opinion, still as cool as ever.
