Break out the waterproof mascara and get the cheesecake out of the fridge. Oprah Winfrey got all Oprah on national treasure Betty White and the forecast is calling for some serious ugly cry faces. The 93-year-old actress is the subject of this Sunday's Oprah: Where Are They Now? program. While it's shocking that Oprah thinks people don't follow the Golden Girls star's movements on a minute-by-minute basis, White did manage to take us by surprise. When Winfrey asked White about her greatest regret, we expected the comic legend to break out into an Edith Piaf medley. But, no. The Hot in Cleveland star does have one major regret, and it involves her late husband, Allen Ludden. Ludden died in 1981 after 18 years of marriage. "I spent a whole year, wasted a whole year, that Allen and I could have had together," White told Oprah, referring to the year it took for her to accept Ludden's proposals. "[I said], no, I wouldn't marry him. Saying, no, I won't leave California. No, I won't move to New York. I wasted a whole year we could have had together. But, we made it. We finally did."   Heartbreak City. The couple managed to tie the knot in 1963. The game show host was actually White's third husband, but she swore off any idea of remarrying after his death.  "Once you've had the best, who needs the rest," she once told Larry King.
