Street Style, The Fifth Avenue Way: Peep These Glam UES Ladies

For anyone who's spent time on Manhattan's Upper East Side, you know that the 'hood is truly a world apart — especially, the glamorous shopping destination that is Fifth Avenue. The area is home to some of the wealthiest families in the city, and that means the streets are crawling with monied, primped, and perfectly coiffed women.
In the name of anthropology, photographer Leland Bobbé took to the fancy streets to stake out the high-society ladies who call the UES home. He shared part of the resulting portrait series, "Women On Fifth Avenue," with Business Insider, and it's some of the best people watching we've ever seen. Aside from the obvious plastic surgery jokes (we'll spare you, of course), these glammed-up ladies are a true indication of just how different the other half lives. Whether it's $100 blowouts, $1,000 sunglasses, or who-knows-how-much Hermés scarves, these aging New Yorkers are anything but scruffy. We've picked out the five most fascinating women for you to peep — then head over to Business Insider to see it all. You can see more of Bobbé's work at his website.
