Michael Jackson led one of the most mysterious lives of any celebrity in memory. Accusations, allegations, babies dangling from windows, and a ton of just unbelievably awesome music — he was (and still is) an enigma. All that pervasive fame is bound to do something to a family, but we're happy to report that Paris Jackson, the king of pop's daughter, is doing her best to live like a normal teen. She talked to Glamour and posed for a stunning close-up for a feature that's revealing and completely charming.
The celebrity bug runs in the family — Paris wants to be an actress some day, though her family has mixed views on whether or not that's a good idea in these early years. But she insists she's not just entering the family bizz by default: "I love my dad, and I'm proud to be his daughter. I just don't think the title 'M.J.'s daughter' fits me. A lot of people think he's the only reason I'm making it, but I want to show that I do have talent and that I can make it if I try. I want to be my own person."
She's got some great advice for fellow high schoolers, too, insisting that she doesn't let the popular kids mess with her own self-confidence. She recommends anyone dealing with the struggles of cliques simply "hang loose and ignore them. They shouldn't faze you no matter how popular they think they are." We honestly couldn't have said it better. It's truly a relief to know that not all Hollywood kids are troubled, spoiled, or worse. Paris, you're great, no matter what you end up doing! (Glamour)
