LAX Stomps Out Impostor Loubs That Are Invading Lala Land!

While many of us have toyed with the idea of dipping our toes into a knockoff pair of Loubs (who has $5,000 to blow on paw pumps these days?), the thought of buying a fake always gives us the creeps. Is there anything less chic than knowing that the cash you drop on impostor merch may support terrorism or slave labor? Didn't think so!
So, we've got to give kudos to the LAX customs crew for taking a step in the right direction and halting 20,000 pairs of counterfeit red soles from China. The wannabe-Louboutin loot could've sold for $18 million dollars, likely at swap meets or online shops. We'll be honest and admit that we're a bit curious as to which iconic kicks were duplicated. According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection Spokesman Jaime Ruiz, the shoes were pretty spot-on (and will likely be destroyed).
Consider this a warning, L.A. — those fierce new stilettos you scored for a steal may actually be a set of phonies. And trust us, you don't want to mess with the man himself! (Huff Post LA)
