Kristen Wiig On Marie Claire's August Cover

Acknowledging that we’ll no longer get a weekly, Saturday night dose of our favorite funny girl, Kristen Wiig, was a tough pill to swallow. So when we catch her looking glam at a pal’s wedding or gracing the August cover of Marie Claire, we’re happily reassured that the comic chameleon isn’t going anywhere (we never doubted it for a second!). After a year of Bridesmaids-fever, memorable red carpet looks, and too many hilarious characters to list, the comedienne had more than enough to discuss with Marie Claire.

Looking sleek on the cover in a white Tom Ford pantsuit sans bra, and sporting her new, darker locks, Wiig opens up to the mag about her final SNL season, her relationship with Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti, and the fact that she is actually much shyer than she appears.
She describes her departure from SNL, as an emotional one (for us too!), where her main focus was, “[wanting] to get through it without breaking down in every sketch. Because nothing says comedy like breaking down.” Leave it to her to bring a bit of humor to her pain. We can’t wait to read the full interview when the issue hits newsstands on July 17.
