A source tells Us Weekly that Katie Holmes is looking for a more family-friendly neighborhood in Manhattan. And, rumor has it she's got her sights set on a $4 million apartment in Midtown.
Yes, Midtown.
"She is buying in a more neighborhood-y area," the source tells the magazine. "The place has three bedrooms, and she needs to do some work to it but not much." (Katie: There's a Home Depot on East 59th Street and Third Avenue if you really need one.)
Purchasing a new place for a few million bucks may sound pricey, but Holmes reportedly pays $12,500 per month in rent for her current digs. Plus, the source also claims that Tom Cruise expressed a desire to have Suri in more of a neighborhood. But, how Midtown qualifies as more of a neighborhood than Chelsea is something we find puzzling. Why doesn't Holmes just join Maggie Gyllenhaal in Park Slope? (Us Weekly)
