If you don't remember Wednesday night's rain, that's a good thing—our party frocks still have a little water damage from the deluge. But NYC's P.Y.T.s, predominately allergic to downpours, managed to get out the door in droves for Project Art, a party to benefit Project Paz—the charity community development in undeveloped neighborhoods in the region of Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. Of course the host committee might have helped: Michael Bastian, Christian Cota, Amanda Hearst, Carolina Herrera De Baez, Karla Martinez and Sylvana Ward Durrett all lent a helping hand to the event, held at NYC's Industria Superstudio. The crowd—think Melissa George, Petra Nemcova, Nate Berkus, Peter Davis, Miguelina Gambaccini,Thakoon Panichgul and Eddie Borgo—literally spilled onto the street, more often then not with mojitos firmly in hand. Also on tap: Some good (super good!) art and silent auction items—Teresa Margolles, Paris Kain and Mauricio Alejo all donated pieces, while designers such as Alexander Wang, Juan Carlos Obando, Valentino, and Band of Outsiders were happy to part with frocks. Yes, yes, we got wet...but it was well worth it. Indeed, the real excitement happened yesterday when we heard that our late night boozing had raised over $90,000! Olé
