Jon Stewart releases Earth ("The Book")
—Stewart's "Visitor's Guide to the Human Race" comes out for all those in need on Tuesday, which is also the day before Bill O'Reilly comes on The Daily Show. Both are sure to provide grade A entertainment. (Everywhere)

Dexter Season 5 Premiere—Showtime's hit show is back for its fifth season and apparently doing some serious character re-tooling. Tune in Sunday, September 26th at 9pm. (Everywhere)

Pavement with Jenny and Johnny @ Williamsburg Waterfront
—New York just can't get enough of Pavement (and neither can we!). The band has added a fifth NY show this Sunday at 5:30pm at the Williamsburg Waterfront. Playing with them is the band Jenny and Johnny (as in Jenny Lewis and Jonathan Rice). Chill. (NYC)

Howl Hits Theaters Friday—We have been dying to see James Franco play beat poet Allen Ginsberg. Hot, hot, hot. This all-star cast is rounded out by Jon Hamm, Mary-Louise Parker, and Jeff Daniels. (Everywhere)
Martha Stewart Presents: "The Women Who Dress America"—Martha gets her fashion on this Sunday at 9pm interviewing the likes of Diane von Furstenberg, Tory Burch, Jenna Lyons, and Donna Karan. We want to watch and see if her days as a model for Chanel come up. (Everywhere)
The Ghost of a Sabertoothed Tiger Concert—If you are in LA, get yourself to the cemetery to see this Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl collaboration. Their album doesn't drop till October but we hear it's pretty epic. Wonder if Yoko will be there acting like a total stage mom. (LA)
COMUNE's Motorcycle Tea Party— Motorcyclists at a tea party sounds a little like bulls in a china shop, but this event in Costa Mesa is a little more art and design than leather and studs. Photos from Adam Wright and Scott Pommier will be on exhibit starting at 7pm on Saturday and food will be provided by Gringo and the Bean. (LA)
