L.A.’s Famed Flying Pig Food Truck Moves From Four Wheels To Four Walls

Everyone’s favorite food truck is getting a permanent address of its very own. Now, instead of following Twitter to see where you’re going to be able to dish on the tastiest pork carnitas and braised pork belly, all you have to do is hop on over to Little Tokyo to get your feast on. The Flying Pig Cafe will include all of the greatest hits made famous by the original food truck, but in larger portions, as well as some secret street-inspired creations from chef and owner Joe Kim. Plan on indulging yourself in the restaurants signature dishes like the Belly Bun with braised pork belly and a steamed rice bun for only $10, or mini sliders with banana ketchup and peanut butter carnitas with cilantro and red curry for only $14. We suspect that pigs will sooner fly than you have a bad meal at this hot new spot.
The Flying Pig Cafe, 141 South Central Avenue (at East 1st Street); 213-621-0300.
