Just In Time For Lunch: Santa Monica’s Food Truck Lot ReOpens

If you're reading this right now and are thinking about what to eat for lunch this afternoon, we suggest you suppress that appetite and hold off until 5:30 this evening. The Santa Monica Food Truck Lot is revving up its engines and will be arriving in the parking lot of the California Heritage Museum tonight from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m (and every Tuesday after this, if all goes well). This food court on wheels started a year ago, but was quickly shut down due to "zoning issues." The only zoning issues we're concerned about is our struggle to refrain from eating just about everything from each of the trucks (thank goodness for elastic leggings). Follow SMFTL on Twitter to get updates on their whereabouts. We'll be waiting to get first dibs at the trucks—FrySmith, Global Soul, Haute2Go, Kabob N Roll, Lake Street Creamery, Ludo Truck, Meso Hungry, and No Tomatoes. Bon appetit! (LAist)
