This weekend, Jay-Z ended his historic series of concerts at the brand-new Barclays Center by offering up his fans a guest appearance from none other than his wife, Beyoncé. But, it wasn't the truly special surprise of the day. Showing a bit of hometown pride, Hova boarded the R at Canal street (with entourage, bodyguards, and a growing throng of fans in tow, of course), riding the rails down to the Atlantic Center for the show.
Now, obviously this was a stunt — but a great stunt. It's not every day a titan like this jumps aboard the Brooklyn-bound local. A real local hero, that one. (Youtube)
