Nary a day goes by when we don't take a quick sneak-peek at sick online site Gargyle. But, not gonna lie, we've always been uber-frustrated that their showroom-cum-office on the LES was never open full-time, instead operating on a makeshift basis that made it hard to commit to a drive-by. So, how amped are we that founders Nhung Nguyen and Don Vu are unveiling the Orchard Street space as an actual bricks-and-mortar boutique tomorrow. Inside the redone 600 square feet (designed by Huy Bui, the architect of An Choi and Occulter by Black Sheep & Prodigal Sons' spaces), you'll be transported to both a W.A.S.P.-central country-club and an English manor, with a playful dash of punk—think AstroTurf floors, custom-built cedar shelves, and exposed wood beams. But don't expect to see duds you'd find at the average tennis court. Preppy gets the Lady Gargyle treatment with pieces from hot Italian shoe line New Kid, Acne, United Bamboo, Won Hundred, Rachel Comey, and Raf Simons For Fred Perry. We suggest stopping by if you're having some web-shopping anxiety—the clothes would rock equally well in Nantucket or Nagasaki.
