Fashion Plates: The Perfect Outfit for Kittichai

Located in the über-trendy boutique hotel 60 Thompson, Kittichai has served sophisticated, authentic Thai food to a decidedly fashionable crowd since it opened to critical acclaim back around our twenty-first birthday party. The dining room, centered around a zen-like reflecting pool, maintains the perfect balance of minimalist-chic, with the soft amber lighting (perfect for smoothing out pores) and color palette of an Aman resort. The menu is a culinary tour of Thailand, emphasizing traditional techniques and ingredients, like coconut braised short ribs with kaffir lime leaf, mint and fresh coriander, and tiger prawns with P.E.I. mussels and seared scallop in citrus red curry—trust us, this is one adventure you really want to take, Eat, Pray, Love style. Keeping with the modern, refined Asian theme, we've put together one fabulous get-up, perfect for partaking new executive chef Ty Bellingham's savory cuisine. The look is anchored by a printed, draped dress by one of our absolute favorite (and Thai) designers, Thakoon. Architectural heels and a riveted leather cuff echo the hotspot's modernist feel and simple gold earrings add a touch of class. Plus the nails will blend right in while still catching the light. The look will make sure you stand out in Kittichai's understated atmostphere—in the best way, of course. Maybe it's time to plan another b-day?
