You know that gorgeous gown you passed on during your latest shopping spree because you didn't think you'd have any place to wear it? Well, as always, R29's got your back. Get ready for a beauty-meets-charity-meets-champagne event, designed to help you get your glam on, and help cancer patients in the process. The Young Friends of the DreamBall is hosting their second annual DreamBall After Dark gala to benefit the Look Good Feel Better Program of the American Cancer Society and the Personal Care Products Council Foundation. The gala promises to be the must-attend event of the fall, featuring super-chic cocktail attire on some serious industry leaders.
You could just take our word for it that there will be plenty of opportunities to hobnob with NYC's most influential professionals, but we're okay with name-dropping, too. The 2012 Host Committee includes the editor-in-chief of Scene magazine, Peter Davis, Marie Claire's Abby Gardner, SoulCycle's Nick Oram, Studio PR president Helena Krodel Wegweiser, one of our favorite designers, Timo Weiland — and R29's own senior editor Kristian Laliberte.
Don't worry, we've got more. This year's Benefit Committee boasts beauty and fashion industry leaders, including representatives from Clarins,Givenchy and Dior, Have to Have founders Carla Holtze & Kimberly Skelton, and premiere NYC stylist Chris Lospalluto. With all that, plus socialites like Emma Snowdon-Jones thrown in the mix, it's an aspiring young professional's (and people watcher's) dream.
