Fashionista is reporting that Brian Reyes is discontinuing its main collection. The Colombian designer, an Oscar de la Renta alum, debuted his eponymous line back in '06 and was immediately labeled an it-boy of fashion, with stars like Cate Blanchett, Rachel Bilson, and Leighton Meeter making his frocks red-carpet crack. While his NYC retailers includes the likes of Intermix, Bloomingdales, and Barney's, and Style.com's review of his resort '11 said the collection "married European flair with American ingenuity," appearances can apparently be deceiving—Reyes didn't show for spring '11, and his office told Fashionista that the brand was "working on different projects." We've loved Reyes longtime, so we hope as least some of them include clothes.
