Baxter Of California Opens Old School Barbershop

baxter-interior2
After 45 years of making men's grooming products, Baxter of California knows what works. Now the brand is bringing their old-world sophistication to a new barbershop location. Baxter Finley, Barber & Shop offers cuts and shaves, $40 each or $75 for a combo and buzzes or beard trims. The shop is the brainchild of Jean Pierre Mastey, the brand's president and owner. Mastey's father owned a barbershop in Beverly Hills and was neighbors with the brand's founder, Baxter Finley. The space, meant to be the kind of old school meeting place of the past, has reclaimed Douglas fir flooring and the four barber chairs are from the early 1900s. The intention is that it be purely masculine, but classy, this isn't Sports Clips after all. The shop will carry the brand's own products as well as Marvis, retaW, Dr. Bronner's, D.R. Harris and others. The retail location is a first for the brand and will serve as a lab for the development and research of new products.
