"I design for ultimate fit and ultimate comfort," said designer Ilana Sunderland at her fall/winter show yesterday, adding, "I can't even feel I'm wearing any clothes." The designer refused to divulge the secrets behind her perfection of fine pleating and draping in her modern architecture-inspired collection, but that didn't stop us from being particularly drawn to her ruby red dresses among the expresso, midnight, and onyx. Paired with red tights and red coats, the monochromatic looks would be perfect for Valentine's Day.
We ran into Bunny Bisous blogger Julia Frakes, who struggled through the bizarrely strong wind storm outside. "It's like the Wizard of Oz out there!" she joked, in red Stella McCartney platforms serving as her vegan ruby slippers. Speaking of smartly colored shoes, we also spotted Barneys Christian Langbein looking dapper in a pair of blue Duckie Brown for Florsheim wingtips, and we gotta say, we're stoked to see the blue shoe trend pan out.
