Illesteva Spring ’13 Throws Us Some Shade, In The Best Way Possible

City dwellers often face a specific set of problems that, in hindsight, are not actual "problems" at all. One of these, um, complications, is that we need to wear sunnies year round (hello, skyscraper glare). Therefore, it's no surprise that Illesteva draws on downtown New York itself as inspiration for its luxury eyewear line, as evidenced by the spring '13 collection.
The design aesthetic is true urbanite-chic (think leopard print meets librarian) and includes coquettish cat eyes and statement-making wooden frames, which will just as easily pair with coats and scarves now as they will with sandals and shorts later. And to further carry us through this season and next, the new Illesteva collection also keeps us covered in the brights and pastels that we crave come warmer weather — also known as the time of year we forgo the subway for an actual commuter stroll.
Check out the full lookbook ahead, and see the sunnies that have got us pumped for snow and sunshine.
