Cara Delevingne Designs For DKNY

Amid warming up her vocals and polishing her line delivery, model-turned-made-for-TV-movie-star Cara Delevingne partnered with DKNY on a capsule collection. Priced from $70 for beanies and $150 for T-shirts to $735 for a leather bomber with detachable sleeves, the 15-piece offering also includes a parka, tank tops, and a sweatsuit. (The model referred to the latter as the "dream pantsuit" in Women's Wear Daily, "because you can boy it up, split it up, or suit it up.") DKNY will sell it up in November.
She told the trade Donna Karan International "always encouraged my design input, my personal style and my ideas from the very beginning of our working relationship," which started with the brand's spring '13 campaign. "DKNY is urban and edgy but, most of all, it's individual. They truly embrace the weirdness in all of us, so you can really be yourself."
Much like Instagram, where Delevingne embraces her weirdness/can really be herself! She's using her account to recruit "a few lucky fans," who will feature alongside her in the upcoming ads. "To enter, just post a pic of yourself looking fresh to your Instagram and tag #CaraD4DKNY and #CaraWantsYou between now and 16 June," she posted. WWD notes, "the model has become a social media phenomenon with 5.5 million followers on Instagram. Lady Gaga has 3.7 million followers by comparison, while fellow model Karlie Kloss has 960,000." Cecil Bunny Delevingne has 100,276 as of this writing. (Women's Wear Daily)
