As of midnight Monday, same-sex marriage became legal in New Jersey. And, dozens of couples rushed to tie the knot. Among the celebrations, Newark Mayor Cory Booker presided over seven weddings and councilwoman Amy Quinn wed her partner of 10 years on Asbury Park's historic boardwalk.
The best news of all, though, may be Governor's Chris Christie's withdrawal of his appeal to the ruling, which was to be presented to the New Jersey Supreme Court in January. Jersey strong, indeed. (Gawker)
