The Most Important Conversations About Women In NYC

For the past three years, Women: Inspiration & Enterprise has played host to some of the most important conversations by and about women. WIE's goal is to bring together thought leaders from politics, philanthropy, media, fashion, and the arts for two days of discussion designed to inspire social change and furnish women with the tools they need for success. For its fourth annual conference, the organization introduces its theme, "The Female Advantage," which will focus on how to play to your strengths and stay authentic. Additional topics will include "What Women Want," "Women Shaping The News," "Tech: The New Frontier," "The 3-Per Centers," and "The Rise Of The Idea Entrepreneur." Plus, WIE will offer workshops on everything from executive presence to negotiating skills. In other words, the weekend lineup reads like the college course book we wish we were offered.
This year, WIE will also team up with The Economist to present a debate called "Does Extended Maternity Leave Hurt Businesses?" which will compare the pros and cons of our country's 12-week vs. Europe's 36-week maternity leave.
Even greater than its schedule of topics is WIE's star-studded list of speakers, including Tyra Banks, Chelsea Handler, Brooke Shields, and R29's Chief Revenue Officer Melissa Goidel.
