But luckily, Today guest Scarlett Johansson (who was ostensibly there to promote her new film Hitchcock), enthusiastically stepped in when poor Al couldn't croak through his report.
ScarJo's weatherwoman qualifications includes having "experience with weather" and having a lifelong dream to fulfill a weather report, but as Matt Lauer aptly adds, she wasn't just doing the weather with Al Roker — she was doing it for Al Roker. Good save, Scarlett!
