When we stumbled upon this video of Will Smith rapping, you better believe we had our fingers and toes crossed for a Fresh Prince cameo! In honor of Gabrielle Union's 40th birthday this week, Smith surprised everyone (including Doug E. Fresh), and took to the mic for an epic rap sesh that made us seriously nostalgic for old-school Big Willie style.
With Fresh beatboxing in the background, the man in black laid down some totally ballsy and off-the-cuff rhymes before busting out "Summertime" with the entire group. But, right around the 3:35 mark, the party's DJ made every Fresh Prince fan's dream come true by suddenly spinning the TV theme song. Although the show premiered over 20 years ago, Smith didn't skip a beat — even putting a new spin on the iconic tune. (Not that we had any doubt — it's clear that Willow and Jaden picked up their cool stage presence from pops!)
But, could you image how much more insane that impromptu performance could've been with his BFF DJ Jazzy Jeff in tow? Oh how our '90s-obsessed hearts would've exploded if Union did the Carlton dance!
