4 Hair Oils To Try Now

hair-oil-los-angeles-site
With the holidays coming up, we recently hit up the salon to get our 'do did and all anyone could talk about was the best hair oils. With the dry winter air and blasting heat, these enriching and intense moisturizing products are perfect for any head of hair. Hot hair oils are ideal for de-frizzing, adding extra shine, or when used as a leave-in, resulting in the silkiest and smoothest locks ever—it certainly did for us. Whether you opt for the classic Moroccanoil (designer darling Erin Fetherston is a devoted fan), the yummy smelling Rose Veil oil, Indian Goosebury from George Neil Salon, or Anita Louise's hair finishing oil, which come highly recommended from Andy LeCompte's Gregory Russell, there are a few steady rules you must follow to get the maximum effect. These products promise to help your hair beat any possible winter blah's, so make sure you follow these instructions to help your head look the best this winter.

Here are Gregory's easy-to-follow do's and don'ts for using hair oil now: 1. Do: Use it as a treatment before you wash your hair. "Apply a generous amount to hair the night before you shampoo and condition your hair. Make sure to concentrate on the ends and work up to the scalp. You should brush, braid hair, and sleep with the oil in. It's also very hydrating for the scalp, so for people who have seasonal dry scalp, this will help!"
2. Do: Use it as a leave-in treatment after you've washed your hair. "For a leave-in, apply a 3-5 drops to freshly washed hair and again concentrate on the ends and always apply to them first, for they are the most porous. If you have an oily scalp, don't apply past the midstrand of your hair."
3. Don't: Forget to use all natural products. "I prefer all-natural oils, free of silicone and chemicals." Just a few drops at the ends of your hair after its dried will get rid of any flyaways and will add the most amazing sheen that isn't oily to your locks.
