Boy do I love an opportunity to say I was right, and internet, I was right. According to People, actress Jenny Slate and Chris Evans are back together. The two made their official red carpet debut back in the summer of 2016, but early this year, they broke up.
"This is what I needed to do to feel normal," she told Vulture back in March about their breakup. "To be alone."
Conflicting schedules and Evan's immense star power apparently got in the way of having a successful relationship, but it didn't stop them from being friends.

"We’re not on bad terms, but we haven’t really seen each other, spoken a lot,” she explained. "I’d love to be his friend one day, but we threw down pretty hard. No regrets, though. Ever."
However, to the joy of pretty much everyone, it sounds like the couple have worked things out and decided to give it another go. People confirms their reunion, and even spotted Slate helping Evans look for an apartment in NYC.
"It’s kind of like I got my dream seventh grade boyfriend," she told Entertainment Tonight back when they first got together. "We didn’t know each other growing up, but we grew up about a half hour away from each other. We’ve been friends for a while."
She later told Vulture that Evans is "truly one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, to the point where sometimes I would look at him and it would kind of break my heart. He’s really vulnerable, and he’s really straightforward. He’s like primary colours. He has beautiful, big, strong emotions, and he’s really sure of them. It’s just wonderful to be around. His heart is probably golden-coloured, if you could paint it."
Maybe 2017 wasn't so bad after all.
