Once upon a time, we were on the way to grandma’s house to watch the Super Bowl when we stumbled across a fee-fi-fo-fantastical vid of Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens reading his favorite fairy tale: Jack and the Beanstalk.
Not that we have the slightest clue as to why he’s doing this, but let the record reflect that we were thoroughly and irrevocably wooed. In an oration worthy of a standing ovation, the terribly charming Brit performs the character voices of Jack, the Old Man, Jack’s mother (yes, he hit the high notes) and the Giant. Isn’t he the cutest thing? After plucking through an entire box of Kleenex last week, this was just the kiss on the forehead we needed to tuck us into tonight’s new episode. Storytime rules. The End.
