Drink For A Cause: This L.A. Brewery’s Beer Fest Has A Charitable Twist

Crazy for craft brews? Well, if you're one of the many folks fixated on the latest libation trend that seems to be sweeping L.A. (and the nation), peep this! Golden Road Brewing, the youngest — but largest — craft brewery in L.A. is throwing a booze-themed shindig and it just happens to be for a great cause.
Founded last year by two entrepreneurial beer lovers, Golden Road Brewing encompasses environmentally sustainable practices with a flair for brewing, resulting in a menu of ales as varied and amazing as Los Angeles itself.
Celebrate the kick-off of the company's latest craft blend this Sunday afternoon. All proceeds will go to the Whole Foods Foundation, to empower and support people living below the poverty line, by helping them launch businesses through micro-credit loans. They've already given away over $15 million, and you can kick in (while enjoying some choice sips) to up that number just a few ticks.
Buy your ticket to the Golden Road Brewing Beer Festival, and hang out with a cold one in hand at this event that includes hourly raffle prizes, a tour of the brewery, and a seminar on home brewing (for those curious aficionados out there). Doing good has never been this easy or as tasty! Nab your ticket now, and bottoms up!
When: Sunday, March 11, 1-5 p.m.
Where: Golden Road Brewing, 5410 West San Fernando Road (between West Milford Street and West California Avenue), 213-373-4677.
