We always love a new twist on old classics, and what could be radder then something to spice up our fave dude's summer footwear. Lucky for us, NYC creative agency Vane has teamed up with Sebago for a limited-edition capsule collection. Though Sebago, the quintessential purveyor of the boat shoe, has been around since 1946, that doesn't mean they're stuck in the past. The new shoes (from $110-175), in runs of only 500, have traditional silhouettes, but get updated with grommet detailing, leather ties, and patent flashes that turn high-tops into boat boots, and low-rises that are way to cool to live on deck. To celebrate, today they're opening the third VANE X SEBAGO pop-up store in the LES. And of course, they want you at tonight's launch party. So stop by to peep some of the killer sneaks; Just remember to dress less sailor, more street.
Tonight, June 10, 8p.m-12a.m.; 125 Rivington Street (between Essex and Norfolk streets); no number.
Complimetary booze, music by Melo-X, and performances by Electric Slim and Jade.
