As fabulous as our fave starlets might look on the red carpet, we know that they aren’t all born with it — an innate sense of killer style, that is. Behind almost every head-turning red-carpet coup is a hard-working stylist, lurking in the shadows, keeping the celeb look flawless, right down to the last hemline (or pantyline!).
Well, Lala's most in-the-know trade mag, The Hollywood Reporter, released its second annual Most Powerful Stylists issue, and their feature not only calls out the 30 most fashion-conscious men and women in the biz, but also showcases their greatest hits.

From multi-client wonders like Jeanne Yang, and rising star Brad Goreski, to one-hit perfectionists like Elizabeth Saltzman (for Gwyneth Paltrow), these heavy-hitters all all turn out celebrity clients who make a splash pretty much every time when they hit the step and repeat. We were excited to see Elizabeth Stewart who just draped Jennifer Lawrence in a show-stopping golden nugget gown, this past Monday. Also awesome: Samantha McMillen, the veteran behind the Fanning girls’ super sweet sartorial ensembles.
So, who reigns as the queen bee in the celeb stylist world? While tastemakers like Petra Flannery, who dresses fashion all-stars Emma Stone and Zoe Saldana, and Leslie Fremar (behind Reese Witherspoon and Charlize Theron’s gorgeous gowns) give her a run for her money — it’s stylist Kate Young who tops the list. Boasting a roster of clients like Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz, and Natalie Portman (who she dressed through a very famous pregnancy), Young consistently sends fresh, eye-catching looks that — hit or miss — are always buzzworthy.
