Karl’s In Charge! Chanel & Joseph Named U.K.’s Best-Loved Designer Brands

When it comes to the U.K.'s favourite designer label, there can only be one.
Er, make that two. As luck would have it, Chanel and Joseph are sharing top honours after being jointly named the best-loved designer labels in a poll of 40,000 British women conducted by fashion site Dressipi.
And, while we think Karl Lagerfeld's just-unveiled Scottish-inspired pre-fall '13 collection might give Chanel the edge over Joseph on this side of the pond, the two labels actually only managed to secure nine percent of the vote apiece, with DKNY (eight percent) and Alexander McQueen (five percent) hot on their tails.

In terms of favourite high-street brands, however, the race wasn't quite so neck-and-neck.
Zara
came out on top with 33 percent, followed by H&M (25 percent), Topshop (21 percent), and Rihanna's beloved River Island (20 percent).

We'd like to see a few more British brands in the mix, but what can we say? Hula-hoop bags and Middleton-approved frocks just have a way with people.
