No longer is footwear with a metallic glint limited to disco heels and the Tin Man's boots. As My Fashion Life pointed out to us yesterday, metallic textures have moved so far into the mainstream that even an old hippe standby like the humble moccasin can benefit from a gold-glaze upgrade provided by British brand Office. While they may not be available stateside yet, they do remind of us of these metallic boat shoes by Sperry that we recently noticed on the feet of one Ms Abigail Lorick. Again, it's futurist effects on a time-tested staple. We imagine the gold classics like these setting off a nice pair jeans (colored by Cheap Monday, perhaps), a gauzy sundress, or your favorite space suit. (My Fashion Life)
