The Fix Pop-Up Shop Opens This Weekend

By now, us New Yorkers have gotten used to pop-up mania. From the 24-hour Zac Posen shopping party to the Beatles-like hysteria at the Liberty for Target temporary space, it's seems that flash is the new future. This weekend is no exception, as one of our must-stops, Alter, is teaming up with DJ Lady Starlight to present the Fix, a one-weekend-only pop-up shop opening this Friday on Orchard Street. If your wallet's feeling daunted by yet another tempting spring shopping opp, there's absolutely no reason to sweat—prices range from $25 to $75 per garment, and $15 to $45 for accessories. With a 200-strong selection of unique vintage merch, from deconstructed punk pieces to haute-electro looks, you can snatch everything from a sequin one-off to spiked cuffs at serious steals. Even if you're not in the mood to buy, you can still party! The Fix will be recreating the heady days of pop-rock New York (and those '80s window dancing jam-outs at Fiorucci), with live DJs, in-store styling, and photo shoots. Might we suggest stopping by after those brunch-time Bloody Marys? Madonna always sounds better with some juice (spiked that is).
