Spice Market might have lost a little of its spicy hot reputation since its celebrity packed heyday seven years ago, but Jean-Georges Vongerichten's restaurant and lounge is looking to reclaim its luster with new, special guest DJ sets every Monday night. Starting, well, tonight, the Meatpacking District spot is set to attract some of the downtown set with an intimate kickoff featuring R29's Kristian Laliberte and WWD's David Lipke. While neither of them really know how to DJ, that's what an iPod is for, so expect an orgasm of pop with tunes from Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and some old school Paula Abdul/Shania Twain/Backstreet Boys flavor. Plus with signature drinks (Lychee Raspberry Bellini anyone?) in the stunning Asian themed downstairs boite and snacks that are worth the calories (Charred Chili Rubbed Beef Skewers) on the menu, we think your Manic Monday could get a whole lot more Manic—in the best possible way.
