New Aussie Line Gripp Jeans Taps Vampire Flicks and Bowie’s Berlin Period

Got an itch for foreign goods that Topshop can't scratch? Feast your eyes on the latest label to be born down under: Gripp Jeans. For fall, the Melbourne-based label found inspiration in everything from the occult 1980's vampire flick "The Hunger" to Bowie's Berlin period and the synthesized club sounds of Depeche Mode. If that amazing mash up isn't enough to incite a full-on swoon, take a look at the collection. All sorts of dark brooding romantic, pieces like the lace corset and fitted body dress lend some femininity to the Victorian goth aesthetic. But the lusty vamp look is not without its edge. Those on the hunt for toughness and tailoring will find over-sized jackets, leather, and heavy-metal hardware trims. We're loving the collection's vaguely Riccardo Tisci meets Alexander Wang vibe and hello, those lace bike shorts. Now comes the hard part...figuring out where on earth we can get a hold of them in the States. If you're planning on traveling in those island parts this summer, won't you pick us up a little present?
