MY NY: Blogger Julia Frakes’ 5 favorite NYC spots

Julia Frakes' fashion advice and personal style has a cult following that borders on obsessive, so we figured our readers would be equally eager to have her play NYC tour-guide. The Paper Magazine contributor became an internet sensation before she graduated high school through her blog Bunny Bisous, (she's a hardcore fan of Beatrix Potter). Up next for the phenom, who just wrapped modeling for a Rachel Roy look-book, is Paris Fashion Week, which she's covering for Vogue Nippon and 25 Magazine. Lucky for us, the precocious 19 year old took time out of her jammed pack schedule to give us a quick itinerary of her go-to spots in the West Village, which definitely makes us want to take an extra-long lunch break.

Julia suggests listening to Bob Dylan's Positively 4th Street (especially apropos around Left Bank Books...) to put you in the neighborhood mood.

1. Aedes de Venustas: "Like a tucked-away euphoric fragrance cave on Christopher Street, the boutique prides itself on an unparalleled selection of rare scents (think Penhaligon's Les Parfums de Rosine) and candles (Cire Trudon, Alexa Rodulfo) all charmingly gift-wrapped with fresh flowers upon request."
9 Christopher Street, (between West 8th Street and Waverly Place); 212-206-8674

2. Left Bank Books: "Bursting with recherché books, first editions, and the most obliging, well-read, and eager-to-please employees to help you navigate through every nook and cranny."

3. Angel Feet: "A.K.A. nirvana; I think the secret's out, though, because the last time that I blissed out at this two-seat reflexology shrine/studio, Susan Sarandon was the other client. All kinds of awesome."

4. Otte: "A delightfully curated little boutique (think Karen Walker, Organic, Rachel Comey) across the street from the twee British tearoom, Tea & Sympathy."
121 Greenwich Avenue, (near West 13th Street); 212-229-9424

5. Wallsé: "Their lone raw vegan dessert is always a highlight at Kurt Gutenbrunner's airy, albeit hidden Austrian haunt on the corner of Washington Street."
